Initiatives and Social Contributions

In the tunnel construction project in the Karakol region of the Kyrgyz Republic, our company delivered two 40‑ft solar power houses and two 20‑ft solar power houses equipped with toilets to Takenaka Civil Engineering Co., Ltd.This project serves as a case in which we contributed to stable power supply and improvement of on-site working conditions in a remote area with unstable electrical infrastructure through the use of solar modules.

In connection with the issuance of the social-contribution private placement bond ‘Together, We Take Flight’, underwritten by The Sanjuusan Bank, Ltd., we presented donated items to the care facility Nijiiro no Ie.We will continue to actively fulfill our social contribution responsibilities through SDGs and CSR initiatives as our corporate activities expand. The public relations magazine “JICA MAGAZINE” introduces development cooperation projects that the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing both in Japan and abroad.In the February 2026 issue, a special feature was dedicated to the theme of “Energy.” As an example of a private-sector partnership project that contributes both to the economic development of developing countries and to creating value that flows back to Japan, Daiwatech was featured for its “Business Support Project for Ukraine: Reconstruction Assistance through the Introduction of Solar Houses.” Daiwatech will continue to address electricity and housing challenges faced by internally displaced persons in Ukraine.

On Friday, October 10th, as part of the pilot project currently being advanced by Daiwa Tech, KPMG Ukraine held a meeting in Japan with the participating organizations. In conjunction with this, Daiwa Tech provided an overview of its activities in Japan, including discussions, and arranged a tour of the production site.

Daiwa Tech has installed ten solar system houses at the training grounds of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force’s 8th Division (Chinzei Mobile Division).Following connections made with Self-Defense Force personnel at last year’s Kumamoto exhibition, the system was adopted based on its potential effectiveness for restoring combat readiness during training (including heatstroke countermeasures).We sincerely hope this contributes to enabling all those involved in national defense to participate in training in optimal physical condition.

On June 19, 2025, at the Tohoku Regional Development Bureau Headquarters of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, our company representative presented at the “Tohoku Regional Development Bureau Presentation Meeting” regarding the utilization of the Solar System House for public works projects and disaster response. This product was developed as a phase-free, carbon-free solution that emits no carbon dioxide (CO₂). On June 19, 2025, Daiwa Tech signed its 74th disaster agreement with Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture.This agreement was initiated by the visit of Toyoake City officials and city council members to view Daiwa Tech’s Solar System House at the “Prepare for Welfare × Disaster Prevention × Equipment Exhibition” held at the Shuchin Facility (a facility for children requiring medical care) on February 2.Going forward, Daiwa Tech will provide maximum cooperation with Toyoake City’s disaster response measures.

As part of their social studies class, third-grade students from Tsushima City Hiruma Elementary School visited the Daiwa Tech Tsushima Factory for a factory tour.On the day, the students were divided into two groups. On March 24, 2025, Daiwa Tech received a letter of appreciation from the Mayor of Nagoya.This recognition was granted for providing six “Kutsurogi” solar system houses with flush toilets to accommodate Waterworks Bureau employees deployed for recovery efforts following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.Based on a private agreement, Wakatsuki Construction handled the transportation of the houses and supplied water to the tanks using water trucks. An article detailing the efforts of the Japan Housing Finance Agency (JHF) to promote housing finance in Indonesia appeared in the JHF Report on the Japan Housing Finance Agency (JHF) website. On December 17, 2024, we signed a disaster agreement with Miyoshi City in Hiroshima Prefecture. Miyoshi City plans to use Daiwatech’s products as accommodations for persons who require special consideration and as offices for liaisons and personnel. Moving forward, we will conduct experiments on battery charging for electric care equipment products, including medical ventilators. Daiwatech’s solar power houses were donated to the Ukrainian government on August 24, 2024. These solar power houses were manufactured with the cooperation of local suppliers. The donation was realized with the hope of being able to help Ukraine recover even a little. ・Conclusion of a “Disaster Response Agreement” between Nagoya City and Daiwatech Co., Ltd.On Friday, June 9, 2023, we signed an agreement with Nagoya City regarding the rental of equipment and materials in the event of a disaster. Nagoya City Mayor Takashi Kawamura and Nagoya City Councilor Koichi Sawada attended the signing ceremony.
