We held a gathering to pass on the story of the Tokai Heavy Rain with an exhibition titled “Relaxation with Maiyume.”

25 years have passed since the Tokai Heavy Rainfall occurred on September 11, 2000.
This torrential rain brought intense rainfall centered on the Tokai region, causing severe flooding including water rising above floor level near Daiwa Tech’s main office due to river overflow.
Drawing lessons from this disaster, this event was held as an opportunity to reflect on disaster prevention.
Simultaneously, the opening ceremony for “Friends” was also conducted.
Despite the unfortunate rainy weather that day, local residents and facility users attended and participated in various events.
Daiwa Tech exhibited the solar-powered house with toilet, “Kutsurogi,” and introduced medical equipment used by facility users.
With the cooperation of Philips, we displayed methods for utilizing power sources during emergencies, which many attendees viewed.
