For the first time, we enabled a Snoezelen experience inside the Solar House using its internal power system.
Many children participated on the day of the event, and some enjoyed it so much that they came back repeatedly.
This experience reminded us of the importance of providing spaces where children can relax and momentarily forget the hardships they may face during disasters.
What is Snoezelen?
Snoezelen is a sensory‑stimulation environment that uses light, sound, and fragrance.
In a darkened space illuminated by blacklight, participants can relax in a gentle, dreamlike atmosphere.
It is widely used in dementia care and developmental support.
