On August 5, the “Ukraine National Day” event was held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Various events took place to share Ukraine’s culture and aspirations for reconstruction with the world. During the official ceremony, First Lady Olena Zelenska, who had delivered a special lecture at the Economic Recovery Promotion Forum the previous day, took the stage. Referring to the theme of the Ukraine Pavilion, “NOT FOR SALE,” she powerfully asserted Ukraine’s unwavering stance to protect its core values even during wartime: “We will not sell our freedom, dignity, or identity.”
A message from President Zelenskyy was also read aloud, expressing deep gratitude for Japan’s support.
